Calculating ROI – Are we measuring the right numbers?

Over on her blog, Meredith Farkas recently posted a nice opinion piece detailing how we as librarians try to measure ROI, but often use the wrong metrics – measuring library-esque metrics instead of measuring metrics that matter to administrators & bosses.  She speaks from a university perspective, but it’s worth thinking about as well in the corporate perspective – do our metrics align with those of upper management?
