Google Public Data Explorer: Visualization for Public Data (World Bank data, Population, Fertility rate, etc.)

In our roles, we often get requests for public data, such as population, health statistics, GDP, mortality, etc.  While this data is public, it is often raw and/or decidedly unsexy.

Today Google released the Google Public Data Explorer, essentially taking the Google Visualization / Google Charts moving charts and applying it to public data.  The result is an eye-catching, presentation friendly way of displaying trends in these public data over time and/or location (perfect for strategic planning / business development …)
