SLA Annual Conference: Unconferences

June 5, 2009

It’s hard to believe, but the SLA Annual conference is less than 10 days away!

As you’re evaluating your options, you might have seen the “unconference” sessions and not known what it is.  By definition, an “unconference” is:

A facilitated, participant driven conference around a theme or purpose. This model is used to fosters and engage better professional communication.

Specific topics for each of the sessions are listed at http://wiki.sla.org/display/unconf/Welcome+to+our+UnConference+Wiki, but two in particular might be of interest, given some of the feedback from the PHT Membership Survey:

#6 (Tuesday, 1:30pm-3:00pm, 204A): Survivor Stories

#7 (Wednesday, 8:30am-10:00am, 204A): Change – Managing It, Surviving It, Thriving on It
